Trump remarks to a law enforcement audience singled out the police practice of protecting the head of someone who's been handcuffed when they're placed in a squad car.

"When you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon. You just see them thrown in – rough. I said, ‘Please don’t be too nice,’"
