... that was an error, perhaps. In speeches, he uses the word so that he can check off that "box" in subsequent criticisms. There is still time to use the word, and he will undoubtedly say he meant peaceful, all along.

I think he measures his words to skirt legal liability... probably has a minder who tells him what he can say.

on calling for protests (and not including 'peaceful', etc. words to this effect). tRUMP has lost the majority of any remaining reservoir of trust that most of his followers had in him. This was on either the Ring of Fire broadcast or the Meidas Touch broadcast. There will be always 'nuts' that follow him religiously but they're getting fewer and fewer in numbers.

He's already mostly proven that he doesn't really care for the bulk of his protesters that were arrested for their illegal acts on J6 (and of the hundreds and hundreds of these people, he's barely even helped any of them, e.g., helped pay attorney's fees, etc.)...and he's already said as much for any upcoming events that he would pardon them etc.).

I still remember his remarks on how shabbily they were dressed up. Of all things to remark on?! What was he expecting? That they all would be dressed up in their dress uniforms or 'Sunday Best' coming to his rescue?

And he's still shown no remorse at all for anything. It's time to put away our feelings on him being perp-walked into jail, finger-printed, etc., especially seeing after seeing how many of his own followers were treated as such, and yet not a peep out of him. No bail should be granted for him. Another choice is to not play by his rules and arrest him in the middle of the night, read him his charges, fingerprint him, and then let him go, e.g., around 3 or 4 a.m. in the morning. This will take the air out of any of his efforts to showcase his arrest, etc.

Think of the ramifications if he decides later on that he doesn't want to reappear, based upon his promise during the setting of his Bond before he was let out?

We could have (IMHO, a little extreme speculation on my part) a so-called want-to-be rogue president and call on his supporters to violently support his efforts. I know that this is out of the realm of remote possibilities but what if? Perhaps the DOJ and others have already discussed this remote possibility, among other scenarios that djt is undertaking, to keep his name plastered in headlines, being as narcistic that he is, and that he is viewing such efforts to 'rescue' him as worthy of the highest patriotic honors possible.

He's long passed the stage of being treated as a former president. Instead, he's actually liked a spoiled brat/child, ignorant of the laws of the land as well as the respect paid to these laws on an ongoing basis by prosecutors, judges, and most attorneys. The few attorneys that we see are ones that he's hired out, and most of them it seems are as messed up as he is. Another word to use is traitor. He's not above doing anything nefarious as he's already proven to attempt to regain office.
