Doctor booted from hearing after repeatedly calling trans people slurs
A Houston doctor was kicked out of a Texas State Senate session after repeatedly calling trans people perverts and pedophiles.
Dr. Steven Hotze was testifying before the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs in support of anti-trans legislation and found himself in a heated exchange with Democratic state Sen. José Menéndez.
“I would just ask you to refrain from calling people pedophiles because I don’t think the doctors who have come before us today are pedophiles,” Menéndez tells Hotze in a clip posted to social media.
“By definition, sir, they are pedophiles,” Hotze responds. “Anybody that sexualizes children is a pedophile.”

The headline is poorly written (sadly common among many sites, but lately, LGBTQ Nation has been bad). The doctor was NOT asked to leave for repeatedly slurring trans people, he was booted because he used a "naughty" word, "bullshit".
