(1,204 posts)One thing I read about grand juries is: prosecutors often use the grand jury to exhaust all the potential witness testimony, so there are absolutely no surprises come trial.
These cases have to be rock-solid.

(32,132 posts)Where in the world are you getting that from? The defense does not give their witnesses and evidence to the grand jury. The prosecutor does. So you really think that means there will be no "surprises" at trial?

(109,024 posts)Witness testimony was stil ongoing late into the afternoon, and any votes for an indictment
can't happen till all the witness testimony is done.
The Grand Jury doesn't meet on Tuesday, so the earliest an indictment could happen would be Wednesday.

(14,141 posts)since he thought he was being arrested Tuesday, that was probably the plan, but he delayed. Again.

(115,975 posts)He didn't know what the grand jury was going to do, and neither do we - they might or might not have voted yesterday irrespective of the new witness. Maybe they'll vote tomorrow, or maybe Friday. There are procedural hoops to jump through. If anybody actually believed TFG's bullshit that's their own fault.

There is a chance he wont be indicted at all just like every other investigation over Trump crimes.
Hes gotten away with everything and this might not be different.
Never count chickens of justice when regarding Trump.

(115,975 posts)There's nothing sinister about the fact that there was no indictment today; the GJ isn't meeting.

Roughly 40 million lightning bolts touch down in the country every year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with the odds of being struck less than 1 in a million.
Less than 250 people are injured by lightning every year, according to the National Weather Service. And a little bit more than 10% of those people actually die as a result.
Among those who are hit, about 90% survive the ordeal, the CDC says. The country counted 444 deaths from lightning strikes from 2006 through 2021.
According to the NWS, a person has a 1-in-15,300 chance of getting struck by lightning in their lifetime.

Pero, perhaps mother nature can do us a favor though and zap the guy from the face of the earth, ok don't wish his demise-- just render him inutile--wait...🤔 he already is a sevre para nada [ a good for nothing ] culero [ ahole to the nth degree.]
Pero, to answer your question--2 yrs or more then trial eg motions, discoveries, appeals.. it takes time. Ojala [ hopefully] in my life time, I'll see him take perp walk--pero quen sabes we'll just have to wait and see.
Paz y buen dia.
