(14,962 posts)Having the Senate majority is infinitely better than not having it, full stop.
It literally doesn't matter who the Senators are if not having the Senators in question also necessarily entails not having the majority. It could be Saddam Hussein (or any bogeyman/monster of your choosing) but if they are the difference between having the majority or not, it's better to have them.
At the moment Sinema isn't exactly said difference, true... But people get sick, die, get arrested, resign, etc. and replacement rules vary by state the next election is a way off. The margin is plenty narrow as it is. She isn't helpful most of the time but she also isn't entirely dispensable... Until she gets replaced by a D, that is. Then she can fuck all the way off.

(53,771 posts)declared herself an independent. There will be a 3-way race between Gallego (D), Lake (R) and Sinema (I). She will come in last.
That leaves us with the task at hand defeat Lake while not letting Senima be the spoiler who swings the election to Lake.
I'm all in on it for Gallego.
