Question for our current & former DU Lawyers. Excuse my ignorance on this matter...

So if I heard correctly the trial for drumphf in NYC won't start for about another year.

If (when) either indictment for GA, or J6 comes down will it be the same shedule?
Could it be faster? Or is it typical procedure anyway? Or the string of delaying tactics drumphf & Co will use.

This is one of the most Critical cases in US history (of course we all know that)! Should it, can it be sped up?!

TIA

The answer depends on the number of other cases that come to a jurisdiction AND the number of judges 3Hotdogs Apr 2023 #1

In N.J., you may wait a year or two to get your case heard. That is because there is a shortage of judges and N.J senators have been blocking hearings.

A friend was killed in a hit and run accident a couple years ago as a pedestrian by someone clearly driving recklessly . The driver who did it turned themselves in the next day (presumably after sobering up). Took about a year before the court proceeding took place.

My friend was playing frisbee in a parking lot, when a woman in her early 20s, did a burnout in the parking lot with a pickup truck, and lost control, striking & killing him before fleeing the scene. She did not have a license and turned herself in the next day. I can only assume she was likely drunk and wanted to wait until she was sober.

They have nothing to do with each other. Since each will have different charges and mostly different witnesses, that and the court’s calendars will determine what happens and when. Regardless, nothing will happen quickly.

CAN't be sped up, without jeopardizing Due Process.

Before the election. It took Letitia James 16 months from indictment to trial.

There will be 2 Trump trials;

E Jean Carroll trial next month
Letitia James trial Oct. 2nd, I believe.

Why do you think I have been saying that time matters?

If Garland had indicted “individual 1” that trial would have happened before the election.

The Iowa caucus is this January

Oh yeah, none. Just like all your “predictions.”
And the Iowa caucus has ZERO to do with the prosecution because it isn’t 90 days before the election.
