Dedicated Election Officials Are Quitting

Dedicated election officials are quitting their jobs all over the country because they are being harassed by Magats.

It was a year ago that I watched Merrick Garland testify before a Senate committee and proclaim that DOJ was going to crack down on harassment of election officials, school board members, and other public officials, as far as I can tell, DOJ has done nothing.

In the words of an election official in Virginia she never expected the Big Lie to come to her district. If only DOJ had prosecuted the Cyber Ninjas.

"Anyone living in Virginia's Buckingham County wishing to register to vote or file paperwork to run for political office is out of luck after the entire staff of the registrar's office resigned after being hounded by the local Republican party ranting about election fraud.

According to a report from NBC News, registrar Lindsey Taylor walked away from her job, along with two part-time staffers, after being deluged with complaints and rumors that she was going to be investigated.

In an interview with NBC, she lamented, "There were people saying that they had heard all these rumors — that the attorney general was going to indict me. Mentally, I just — I couldn’t take it anymore.”

That was three weeks ago and the office remains shut down."

DOJ filed 4 criminal charges out of 1,000 complaints. I guess the bar is pretty high for DOJ to get involved, the Magats have to threaten physical harm before the harassment becomes a crime.

I wonder if I send a copy of the summary of the DOJ task force to the lady in Virginia and her 2 assistants if they will reconsider coming back to work? Oh, she was one of many who didn't bother to file a complaint, she just quit.

I see the task force admits there is more harassment in states that did illegal audits and recounts. Boy, I wish that someone had prosecuted the Cyber Ninjas. Two citizens groups tried to hold them accountable but the Ninjas just defied a judge, declined to pay the fines because they were a bogus company with a mailbox for an office. That didn't stop them from getting into sealed ballot boxes that were supposed to remain in the possession of election officials for 22 months, getting access to voter information and election material and equipment. Not prosecuting the Cyber Ninjas was a huge Merrick Garland failure that has led to the Big Lie spreading across the country.

But that would cut down on calling everyone who disagrees with you a MAGAT.

Were they convicted? If they were convicted did they go to jail or did DOJ just write them a stern letter? Did they get probation? Did the people they harassed out of their jobs return?

I only call Republicans Magats because the Republican party no longer exists, it is controlled by Donald Trump.

I criticize actions not people. I never ever criticized you personally, you on the other hand frequently make personal attacks against me.

I respect everyone's right to his/her own opinion, including yours. I disagree with your opinion, including your link, that the problem of harassment of public officials is being taken care of, is under control. Too many good, honest, patriotic American citizens have quit their positions and have been replaced by Magats. I think it is a dangerous position to take to assume this isn't an ongoing and growing problem.
My daughter volunteered to help at her local school board, she sees the harassment firsthand. My daughter doesn't get paid, she certainly doesn't believe as you do that the situation is being taken care of. I can give you her address so you can send her a copy of the fine job that task force is doing.

14. Did you watch when Garland went before the Senate committee

to announce the creation of this task force? I watched it. Every Magat Senator attacked Garland with the same message, "you are stifling free speech." Want to know what Garland did? he backed right down and said that DOJ would only work together with local law enforcement to prevent violence.

Did you watch it? Maybe I can find his appearance and post it so you can get a better idea where I get my opinions, from the horse's mouth.
