Six victims have been reported, including at least one police officer, in a shooting outside the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky.

Metro police have advised the public to avoid the area of the 300 block of East Main Street in the downtown area of the city, as Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear arrives on the scene.

Dispatchers heard on police scanners have indicated that the shooting occurred on the first floor of the building, in front of Louisville Slugger Stadium — located just hours from Nashville, where a gunman recently opened fire at a Christian school and killed six people.

Police in Louisville, Kentucky, have confirmed that at least five people have been killed in a shooting in the city.

An additional six people have been injured and taken to local hospitals, including a police officer.

Members of the public have been asked to stay away from a part of East Main.

Video from the area appears to show heavily armed police cordoning off a commercial property in the area.

In a brief news conference, Louisville Police said that police responding to the report encountered active gunfire.

The shooter is dead. It is unclear what led to his death.

News footage from the scene shows a heavy police presence, with damaged glass and discarded medical equipment at one location.

I'm sure BooBoo is praying, or at least pretending to pray while she offers the 'only solution, more guns.

With armed cops?

Good guys with guns can be ambushed and killed like anyone else. I reckon the GOP response will be: the bank only had 2 armed cops? They should have had 4, or 6, or 20.

Guns are destroying this society.

but not a cop. If there were a couple of police officers in every bank branch, there would be none out on the street. In fact, they'd have to hire many, many new police officers.

I'm sure you have been in a bank. Did you see any police officers there?

...in a brick-and-mortar bank. Usually just use ATMs.

Silly me. I figured they keep cops where lots of money is held.
