i just found out

that the shooter(s) in Dadeville is still outstanding.
https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/17/us/dadeville-alabama-birthday-party-shooting-monday

the press conference yesterday was nothing but a no-info circle jerk. they could have at least urged witnesses and people with video to come forward. they could have at least mentioned that they had no suspect!!

fuck. they need help with this investigation. A town of 3,000 in AL is not going to have a police force that has the skill to pursue this. They apparently already had no actual perception of the purpose of a press conference.

1. Small-town law enforcement their first instinct was to cover everything up, circle the wagons

There is something hinky about it, makes me wonder if the shooter is well-connected in town to somebody important

just reading the WP article and in comments the same thought was expressed.

maybe they just don't care, but I prefer to believe that they're stupid. I don't know really. AL was way up high on my do not visit list already.

The last thing some of these yokel sheriffs want is for people to find out is it's another gun humping Trumper.

that the Alabummer stateys are going to be a whole lot of help here, when most of the victims seem to be (at least as far as I can tell) Black kids? Yeah, no.

3. Wait, if what you say is true, that means racism still exists in America

and that CANT BE!

I have been told over and over that it is gone and how do we know that?

You see, they tell me that because this man was elected, racism no longer exists.

one of whom was a state champion in track, about to graduate and go on to college on a scholarship.

also several pictures of white people weeping. i don't think we can conclude that it was a segregated party, but i don't know. It all needs to come out.

Hopefully the media has swarmed on into town and whoever's keeping the lid on will lose their grip on the facts here. I don't want to speculate, but I keenly want to know WTF happened and why law enforcement rolls out so lackadaisically that they don't even share at a press conference that they haven't identified or caught the mass shooter!

8. That first presser they did was amazingly useless.

About only one fact came out: the number of dead. After that it was don't let this make you think poorly of our town - over and over. Then we're not taking questions. Nothing about the shooter still being at large or a description of him.

Pathetic.
