Shouldn't the DoJ be suing red states for Constitutional violations?

We're seeing red states go crazy with laws that blatantly violate the Constitution, especially the 1st Amendment. Drag show/pride parades banned and transgender kids kidnapped in Florida, Texas requiring schools to have Bible study and 10 commandments, etc.

Isn't the Executive branch supposed to go after states that violate the Constitution? I've seen no attempts to hold these red states accountable.

The DOJ is able to manage multiple investigations. However States passing laws aren't automatically subject to DOJ jurisdiction.

DOJ isn't the keeper of the Constitution; it represents the Administration.

They literally have a Civil Rights Division. And DoJ has in fact sued states on other issues like this, but they're not doing much at all lately.

because Florida made it illegal to to have men in drag where children are present. And I've never seen a pride parade without some men in drag.

I'm sure a lot of these laws will get eliminated as they wind their way through the courts.

If it becomes legal later they need to pass a new law. Not pull it out of the bag.
