So Powell has been trying mightily to destroy the labor market, but it's just too resilient. If the next inflation numbers come in lower again, he's out of reasons to try to harm the labor market. Last month, wage growth exceeded inflation by 4 or 5 times, people are actually getting back ahead right now.

Inflation in April was 0.1%, wage growth was 0.5%.
