Kellyanne Conway is now caught up in Clarence Thomas' latest ethics scandal

In a statement to the Post, Leo defended the payments saying: "it is no secret that Ginni Thomas has a long history of working on issues within the conservative movement, and part of that work has involved gauging public attitudes and sentiment. The work she did here did not involve anything connected with either the Court's business or with other legal issues."

When asked why he asked that Ginni Thomas' name be kept off the paperwork, Leo told the Post that he was trying to "protect the privacy of Justice Thomas and Ginni."

The same year Conway reportedly helped send the money to Ginni, the nonprofit that paid her submitted an amicus brief to the Supreme Court about a landmark voting rights case.

Though Justice Thomas didn't cite the nonprofit's brief, he did vote in favor of the side they supported.

One gets on the Supreme Court, the other becomes a high level political operator, and we all get sprayed.

7. To be fair, Ginni's "insight" and skill at "gauging public attitudes" is worth millions to anyone.

You know her intuition is much more acute than any researcher, pollster or political advisor.

If she was not married to a Supreme Court Justice, we all know she could sell her skills in the public market for much more than she gets now.

She is intentionally holding down her earnings for the sake of her husband's integrity.

... the name Leonard Leo is not far behind. Same can be said for the name Harlan Crow.

11. Wonder if tax evasion won't bring them all down. Which of them reported what on their forms?

AFAIK, even the omnipotent SCOTUS-type people need to file accurate forms on income, including business income.

I'm going way out on a limb and thinking that most of these transactions are not being recorded on IRS forms. Probably including non-reporting from foreign donors, trips, meals, gifts, bags-o-cash, etc.

Wonder if this is why the repuglicons are so hell-bent to unfund the IRS (and all regulatory agencies.) They'll all be swept up in a proper cleansing.

The higher up you are, the bigger the favors are, and the bigger the expected return favors are. Got to keep the balance!

So what if a few mundane laws, rules and ethics get bent slightly in the process?

Besides, the great unwashed will never notice, they aren't too bright, so carry on!

Remember the swamp Trump was going to drain, but he never did because he couldn't quite find it?

I think we just found it!
