will. The thing is I get stuck responding to the freaking idiots on there. It is worse that ever. So I want to spread around the actual scientific studies that prove that they are idiots. I know most won't change most but some will keep quieter if they understand and don't want to look stupid

"Conservatism and cognitive ability are negatively correlated. The evidence is based on 1254 community college students and 1600 foreign students seeking entry to United States' universities."
Here is the rest that won't fit in a Tweet
". At the individual level of analysis, conservatism scores correlate negatively with SAT, Vocabulary, and Analogy test scores. At the national level of analysis, conservatism scores correlate negatively with measures of education (e.g., gross enrollment at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels) and performance on mathematics and reading assessments from the PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) project. They also correlate with components of the Failed States Index and several other measures of economic and political development of nations. Conservatism scores have higher correlations with economic and political measures than estimated IQ scores."
And here is the Tweet that I sent Tommy Tubberville

(51,308 posts)At any rate, maybe find a study more recent than 2009 and with more participants?

(22,482 posts)there are more websites talking about it.
And I do not believe in "Not wasting my time" That is what everyone said in the past and look where it has gotten us.
If you have a study showing that spreading this study around is "wasting my time" then why don't you share it? Show me some proof.

(51,308 posts)I simply meant that imo you are wasting your time arguing with the brainless idiots, but hey, if you want to do that, then you go right ahead and do so.
And no, I don't think a sample of less than 2000 community college students and some foreign students that was done in 2009 is one that would cause me a lot of grief if I were one of the magats you plan to persuade.
I certainly don't know of any "study that spreading this study around" is wasting your time. I most certainly do not.
Now, I think I'll go and study on that.

(22,482 posts)much so a study from 2009 is just as valid if it used good scientific protocols.
Although I do believe that IQ does not have to be static and a person can "make themselves smarter" by studying - especially math and logic

(22,130 posts)I don't think that this is what they meant it meant, ha ha heh. I think that they meant it as a means of inferring that they interpreted the constitution and its amendments less strict than others. But they have been redefining or misusing the word 'conservative' to far more of them who are not true conservatives, they claim to be, but aren't.

(22,482 posts)Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice
There's no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb, according to a new study that is bound to stir public controversy.
The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults. These findings point to a vicious cycle, according to lead researcher Gordon Hodson, a psychologist at Brock University in Ontario. Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, the study found. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice, Hodson wrote in an email to LiveScience.
The findings combine three hot-button topics.
"They've pulled off the trifecta of controversial topics," said Brian Nosek, a social and cognitive psychologist at the University of Virginia who was not involved in the study. "When one selects intelligence, political ideology and racism and looks at any of the relationships between those three variables, it's bound to upset somebody."
Polling data and social and political science research do show that prejudice is more common in those who hold right-wing ideals that those of other political persuasions, Nosek told LiveScience. [7 Thoughts That Are Bad For You]

Let's not be elitist about what conservatism correlates with. It correlates with sociopathy and a lack of empathy. Far more meaningful than intellectual scores.

There is one site that tries to say that liberals are the ones who are stupid but there is also a fact check that refutes it. That is the way they have tried to refute it.
