I wanted children so bad. We tried tried and tried again. Almost died trying. Twice.
Now a few other grey hairs and I "adopt" kids who need grandma. Sometimes it wears me out but I would not have it any other way. These years as surrogate grandma have been amazing.
To you Moms and Grandmas. You have the best and worst job. Thank you for doing what you are doing.

My late sister-in-law, who I loved dearly, couldnt have kids, went through an ugly divorce and after she married again she felt she was too old to adopt. But she was the best aunt and great-aunt anyone could have. She got through to my kids when they were troubled teens and wouldnt listen to us. Always think of her especially on Mothers Day.
