President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has recalled that former US President Donald Trump, who repeatedly promised to end Russia's war against Ukraine in 24 hours, had not done so before the full-scale invasion.

House Democrats have launched an impeachment inquiry into whether Trump solicited a politically-helpful investigation from a foreign power.

Donald Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for not just one favor, but three, according to a rough transcript of a July phone call between the two released Wednesday morning by the White House.

In the memo, which was compiled by officials who listened to the call and is not a verbatim transcript, Trump asks his Ukrainian counterpart to “look into” his political rival and former Vice President Joe Biden.


He also asked Zelensky several times to speak with U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, as well as Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer.

The transcript’s release comes less than a day after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the House will launch an impeachment investigation against Trump over the question of whether he solicited a politically-helpful investigation from a foreign power.

At the time, Zelenskyi wasn't exactly badmouthing Trump. Those Stingers caused Russian armor to be pulled back from the line of contact and the Ukrainian death rate dropped as a result.

But if Zelenskyi says nice things about Trump, he might piss off Biden.

You want to keep your munitions supplier happy instead of pissed off, esp. during a hot war instead of the lukewarm never-ending series of border skirmishes.

8. People forget it was going on for EIGJT YEARS before the invasion

that was aimed at taking Kyiv and everything to the east. Obama got the first round of sanctions against Russia.

TFG sat on his lard ass and did NOTHING except praise Putin.

All four years of his tenure, he did not resolve the war in Ukraine. Many forget this war has been ongoing since 2014. The full scale invasion in 2021 was an escalation of the original invasion by Putin.
