it seems that twitter is exploding with latino truckers saying they wont take shipments to florida over their new anti immigranst laws.
Good. i hope this spreads. lets see places like florida, texas, and the other states pushing anti immigrant laws start to really feel the effects of their laws. I know there are already reports of contruction sites in florida shutting down too over a lack of manpower due to immigrants not working

They were the wealthy Cuban business owners who catered to the darker side of American "tourism" at the expense of the their fellow Cubans who labored for little reward.
A good many were part of an oppressive regime of oligarchs that kept their knees on the necks of the majority.

Other Latino/Hispanic groups are more numerous, more recent, and in need of being brought along by Democrats as Democrats.

(4,741 posts)Are starting to divert their deliveries to New Mexico, to avoid dealing with Texas. The shippers can't depend on getting their freight through since that stupid git Abbott gets wild hairs about "inspections" that often end up destroying perishable goods.
Southern New Mexico could use the business, that's for sure, even though it's a nightmare to drive through there. The altitude makes it a more expensive haul compared to the flatlands of the Rio Grande Valley, but better to face lower profits than risking losses of entire cargoes.
