One of our neighbors died that way. Nobody knows why he brought his "sporting rifle" to the local fast food place.

My mom, in her Holy Terror Prime, might have disarmed bus stop guy and destroyed his gun on the spot as he ran away screaming, "I'm going to sue you! I'm going to sue you!" (True story from my childhood. Not the only time I saw her go full Berserker on someone.)

In my mom's Wild West family tradition fools with guns were not tolerated. Curiously, it was mostly the women who enforced these rules. My wife's family is a similar matriarchy.

Sure there are two sides. One side is dangerous and stupid. A guy openly carrying a gun at a school bus stop is a fool.

These gun clowns are no different than the fourteen year old gangsters we have around here. It's just a different gang. They've got some emptiness in their lives and foolishly try to fill it with a gun and a grotesque machismo.
