https://gregolear.substack.com/p/the-dark-seid?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email"The horror of the 91-year-old reclusive billionaire Barre Seidhis name rhymes with parricidebequeathing $1.6 billion of his vast fortune to radical Catholic forced birth activist and Supreme Court fixer Leonard Leo did not hit home for me until this week, when I read Nina Burleighs article in the New Republic. Her must-read piece is titled Who Is Leonard Leos New Dark Money King?, but the question I found myself asking after finishing it was: How can democracy possibly survive this?"

(10,045 posts)have someone just like Leonard Leo? I mean, the reich wingers all talk about George Soros, but he isn't really a kingmaker like Leo. He's just their scapegoat, mainly because he's Jewish.

(17,027 posts)The way to combat advertising is grass roots activism which starts with connection. The surgeon general just released an advisory on loneliness saying its a health risk equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Being connected is the loneliness antidote. Its past time to reimagine the social clubs of the 50 and make them relevant to the 2020s. We arent going to meme our way out of this but we could pot-luck our way out of it.
