"The Con" documentary--Wall Street, S&L Crisis, 2008 Crisis. IMHO a must-see.

There are five episodes and I had to purchase it on Amazon, but it is chock-full of information and insight.

For example, I learned about Roland Arnall. He very cleverly escaped prosecution for his huge criminal role in the S&L crisis, went on to be appointed Ambassador to Holland by GW Bush after being a top GOP donor, and contributed to the 2008 Crash. He was known as the "godfather of subprime lending."

To say I found this eye-opening is an understatement. It's a good thing I'm on blood pressure medication.

Thanks for the info... I usually feel so ignorant about anything financial, I don't go after it! Karadeniz May 2023 #1

The filmmaker lays all of the financial crimes out very clearly. Then you are left to wonder how the crimes went undetected for so long.
