Ford actually built a 'Very Gay Raptor' in response to an internet troll

Ford responded to an internet troll with a strong statement against homophobia, creating a rainbow and glittery gold-wrapped truck that paraded the streets of Cologne, Germany to celebrate Pride Day.

"Very gay" is how one internet denizen described the new Ranger Raptor Special Edition pickup in a comment on a Ford Europe social media post. The company noticed and, in response, took the concept of a very gay Ranger Raptor and ran with it. According to Ford, the commenter wrote in response to the reveal, "Well... that's a cool car! -But that blue color is very Gay!! Hey Ford! Paint in BlackNGold or camo!"

The commenter sparked a comeback from Ford. On June 25, the company tweeted an animation of the Raptor in its rainbow livery in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

But then Ford went one step further and actually built a Ranger Raptor in said livery. Ford took the "black and gold" recommendation literally, wrapping the truck in the glitziest gold one can imagine. Over the gold, a rainbow swirls around the truck, ending with a pink heart on the tailgate.

An online troll seems to have inspired a Pride tradition at Ford Motor Co.

Rather than recoil from comments intended to blast Ford while demeaning the LGBTQ community, the automaker has instead gone all-in to show the world that not only are slurs not going to be tolerated but that the company will aggressively work to show it's supportive of all people regardless of sexual orientation or identity.

As a result, Ford has created a one-of-a-kind Ford Pride Bronco Wildtrak with rainbow colors and a unique exterior gold glitter wrap in honor of Pride Month. It was completed in time for Saturday's Memphis Pride Fest 2022 in Tennessee as well as Detroit's upcoming Motor City Pride Parade on June 12.

3. If I could drive and afford it

I would want a very gay raptor.

A few differences though.. cat ears on the hood. Lion shaped door handles. A bunch of pawprints on one side on the door (for the furries)
A glittery black and white cat jumping through a purple hoop rising over the rainbow (for Othello) and cat lovers everywhere and Panther in rainbow black glitter written over the heart and a silvery grey glitter stripe added to the pride rainbow colors for asexual and nonbinary representation cause I am.

And a few modifications bullet proofing,side mirror flame throwers (that would make an attacker back off from the door),wheel spikes ,gatlin guns that shoot glitter bombs and smoke and loud speakers I could speak though or play music through
And a rainbow fur interior. And of course fuzzy dice.

4. I wish they would stop showing cars destroying the environment

Realistically, where is it acceptable to drive cars offroad in such a destructive manner?

A lot of car advertising shows such destruction. It promotes irresponsible driving.
