I am reading everything I can on the debt ceiling debate..Kevin McCarthy this op is for you

MSN..Yahoo..Daily Beast.. etc etc etc

and what I am seeing now... McCarthy has got to step up and do what Biden is doing and face down his detractors on his side of the aisle and get this job done.

Leadership is not for the faint of heart or for those who want to be the most popular person.. It is for those who roll up their sleeves and get the job done..

You cannot let this country go into default. The debt has to be paid Kevin.. Just dig in your heels and pay the bills Kevin

...his position with the help of some Democrats. After all, McCarthy is certainly to be preferred over a MAGA chud Speaker.

If that doesn't happen, though, McCarthy's definitely gone.

to cling to power through this thing, possibly by finding some shadowy power to blame for blackmailing him/threatening TFG/ telling him the truth about what default would do and how the GOP would be blamed for it 100%--the later being true. Alas, he'll probably trot out another conspiracy involvint George Soros leading a phalanx of lizard skinned bankers bent on destroying all the billionaires to institute atehist socialism, none of which he will attempt to explain in any sort of logical or even coherent manner. The Freedom Caucus will lap it all up and he'll keep what little power he has.

Mostly, they won't want to go through another clown show picking another Speaker.
