Apologize about inappropriate political post

A sincere apology for what appeared to break the DU rules by me in wording my reply about third party options.

I did not intend to encourage anyone and especially any Democrats by that post. My response was only intended to consider voting citizens who are not Democrats now. I will be careful in the future

never to vote for a third party candidate as more often than not, the thinly veiled agenda of third parties is to take votes away from Democrats to help republicans win — as they are often backed by republicans (see Jill Stein, No Labels).

That's also the agenda of so-called Democrats like RFK jr. and Cornell West.

4. Just keep in mind that Stein voters in 3 states helped Donald Trump win in 2016.

So we’re pretty gun shy about third party candidates who magically appear just for close presidential elections.

The country won’t survive another Trump term. DeSantis etc will be just as bad or worse.

Appreciate your post today.

for me.

I heard so many people say they voted for Trump in order to "shake things up". Well, that left the nation shaken, all right. And very nearly dead on arrival. This is not the time to be experimenting with shaking things up, protest votes, or "supporting those candidates without a voice".

Now is the time for all hands on deck. Now is the time for all good Democrats to come to the aid of their country. Now is the time to support Democratic ideals and progressivism. I'm pretty far to the left, but if my ideal third party candidate hasn't a prayer of getting elected, my vote goes to the Democratic candidate. Any vote for anyone but the Democrat in the race is a vote for the Republicans, for autocracy, and for the end of the U.S. as we know it.

Vote Democratic. Bottom line.

I'm going to be giving the stank eye to anyone who advocates anything else, while insisting he's just "asking questions."

"shake things up" - - now synonymous with political sabotage and nihilism.

promoted chiefly by 'Goobers Unite!' (and Russian agents)

as he set his magat audience up for repug lie after lie.

The third party racket is just that, a racket to siphon off votes from Democrats and get republicans elected.

How awful air travel is, why you don’t go to the movies anymore, weather, personal health problems and the evils of AI and tech are familiar favorites.

Bonus points for starting a thread about Covid uptick. Those are very hot right now. 😉
