4. The Sea of Azov is a relative mud puddle, very shallow

Subs will have to surface to enter it, making them sitting ducks.

The Kerch Bridge is now protected by a steel fence and a couple of partially sunk barges. There is an open lane for ships to use, guess they don't think Ukrainians can navigate through that. Oops.

when the ATACMS get there, if they're not already there.

The Russians will scream bloody murder since Russia also borders the Azov. Everyone else will just shrugs, the Russians shouldn't have started a fight if they can't take blacked eyes and a bloody nose.

Ukraine has fought a very smart war, small scale and decentralized instead of the unwieldy, dug in and poorly run Russian side.

10. "Ukraine has fought a very smart war"...agree. The trick is to get enough weapons to Ukraine

before the manpower and resolve run out...
It happened in WW2. By '43, '44 Americans were loosing interest in a protracted war and losing so many boys.. Lots of marketing was needed to keep people on point.

We don't know what the musk-rat is filtering/censoring/changing.

It amazes me how many government agencies also allow him to control their messaging.

In the mean time this is how you get news about Ukraine. But maybe you don't care.

6. "But maybe you don't care." - really? Are you trying to be insulting or just unthinking?

I actually read quite a few of your posts on Ukraine - thank you.

I also get plenty of news from other sources than shitter's. You might try looking at DW, The Guardian, etc. for more variety.

for curating the information coming from original sources on Twitter so you don't have to sully yourself by spending the time and effort to do so yourself.

As for relying on the media outlets you mention "for more variety", "more variety" saw certain media peddling lies and warping reality which contributed to getting the US and other countries embroiled in the horrible misadventure that was the Iraq War, among other missteps, and in this case they'll usually be a couple of days behind events anyway.

I don't always comment on Tom's Ukraine threads though I usually rec those I see, but I'm familiar enough myself with the open source intelligence coming out of Ukraine to appreciate that he doesn't post news without weighing it responsibly.

A little recognition and appreciation of that effort rather than carping about and looking down your nose from a comfortable distance at the platform the Ukrainian informants are using to spread their news would be in order.

Reliable sources, is news coverage in real time. Another of what I put up gets published in places like the NY Times a couple of days later.
I'm not always right, I think because I tend to optimism, but I think the slow grind is going Ukraines worry. My main concern is whether Ukraine will have enough artillery ammo. That's the only thing that can stop the offensive.
Still looking for confirmation that Ukraine hit their target last night. I think they did but I'm off to check.
Might have another Navy story soon.
