(12,384 posts)and out.
Ukraine when President Biden went there it wasn't publicized. I could be wrong, but he was a train for a length of time. And it was a surprise to me when they showed him with President Zelenskyy.
Damn keep it a secret. It's too freaking dangerous, and my opinion I don't trust Netanyahu.

Surprised the voting is so lopsided against it. Is it because of Netanyahu?

you can be sure that Hamas would try to get him. They fired missiles at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv when Blinken met with Netanyahu. What do you think they would do to Biden?

(16,539 posts)I think some probably object to the show of support for Israel and some are actually worried about security.

If he wants, then yes, he should. I wish it were not so, but it could easily make a sizeable difference

(63,941 posts)It's his call. Last night, I was a wreck learning about this visit after reading a thread here. I felt very uneasy.

(63,941 posts)to report the President's strategic plans to a war zone. No not a good idea. We are in a very precarious situation due to the House vote for Speaker. But I'm not in his cabinet.

(2,973 posts)It would be out of character for him to go there on a whim, to go there without a plan to use his presence to get Israel back on track to proportional response. It's a hysterical Netanyahu government is managing this crisis so poorly.
It's a little bit of a gamble to extend his prestige on this issue. Whatever happens in Gaza is bound to be a shit show and there's little to gain in ameliorating the devastating consequences that are bound to cascade all over the region. But Joe ain't the kind of guy who won't try to save a few lives just because the risks outweigh the rewards
