If Chesebro also accepts a plea deal now, it clears the path for Trump's GA trial

And the pressure is on for Chesebro to flip and take a plea deal now, while the dealing is still good. A $6,000 fine and several years of probation must be looking pretty damn good compared to 5+ years spent in a Georgia prison.

Trump didn't demand his right to a speedy trial, so if Chesebro doesn't go to trial next week that doesn't mean a Trump trial is imminent, but it does mean nothing would stand in the way of setting the date for it, if there isn't an initial trial that must be completed first. It would also mean that Trump wouldn't get to see any preview of the evidence that will be used against him.

1. I'd hate to see the slimy CheezBro avoid getting what he deserves, but if it puts Suspect #1 in the clink, then so be it.

Sucks to find out on the first day of trial that your co-defendant switched tables and now you're on your own. Backed the wrong horse? A pity.

Time and again his endorsements fail. Only threats on innocent civil servants remain. He may be finally become the hot air bag to the rest of the party that we all saw before day one.

He won’t fold. But I expect most others to. Meadows may have already. Powell must have already coughed up more than a few fur balls however. So Chesbro has to be sweating it out. Nobody wants to go to jail at any age.

9. Didn't he already decline the plea deal?

If I understand correctly, he IS going to trial, he is not taking the deal.

Having said that, this is what bothers me about these people not taking these deals, and some of you may think I am a bit paranoid, but during these times I think it may be a bit healthy to be paranoid.

1. They are either delusional thinking they will win their case, and of course there is always the chance of a hung jury, or

2. The GOP has improved in their cheating methods and they feel very confident the buffoon will win the 2024 election because they have a failproof plan. That worries me. I do hope the Democrats, the FBI, and everyone involved have been tracking the GOP steps these months, and continue to do so, to make sure the cheating does not happen.

10. Good points. And that might be another reason why the George AG allowed SUCH a light sentence

for Powell...not just that she'll be a good witness but as an example for others to see so they can follow in her footsteps.
