Wisconsin's Democratic governor says Trump should be on ballot, Biden must visit to beat him

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s Democratic governor opposes keeping Republican Donald Trump off the ballot in the battleground state, saying that those who think he should be disqualified “can vote against him.”

Gov. Tony Evers also told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday that in order for President Joe Biden to win Wisconsin, he must be a frequent visitor to the state and focus his message on his successes and issues that matter to the middle class, not just the argument that the fate of democracy is at stake.

Evers’ comments come ahead of a visit to Wisconsin later this month by Vice President Kamala Harris and ahead of the planned filing Friday of a lawsuit by a Democratic activist aimed at keeping Trump off the ballot, arguing that his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot amounted to unconstitutional insurrection.

Officials in Colorado and Maine have already banned Trump’s name from primary election ballots. Trump asked the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court ruling from December that stripped his name from the state’s ballot.

and has saved the state many, many times from the Republican controlled legislature.

So, maybe let's not toss him under the bus.

Plus, if you think he's going to be kept off the ballot in Wisconsin, you're betting on the long shot.

representatives, your "so there's that" implication that Hillary neglected Wisconsin is put to rest. Disprove this if you can, Cuthbert.

10. Clinton DID NOT campaign in Wisconsin after the primaries.

That's not too hard to find. You can't possibly be trying to say that HRC was in Wisconsin for each of those things on your list.

In case you find it hard to find, here's one article from the Milwaukee Journal that makes it clear she didn't come to Wisconsin during the general election campaigning.

First line:

Hillary Clinton didn't campaign in Wisconsin during last year's general election

But, hey, I'm sure you know better not actually living here and having seen major politicians in Wisconsin saying she needed to come in order to win.

Does not solve my specific problem, issue, grievance then I /we will not vote or vote for trump. I'm so freaking sick of this shit. How about we vote in a Democratic president a veto proof Democratic Congress then you and whatever group of people, religion, special interest can come up with a candidate that will do all your bidding and solve all your problems and can actually win. Good luck with that.

He wants Biden to visit Wisconsin because he wants Biden to win. Bizarre.
