Trump Loses The Election If We Get Him To Trial

Just picture the scenario:

Trump had the option of attending his civil trials, he must appear every day for a criminal trial.
Picture Trump sitting in the courtroom for 6-7 hours a day, muzzled, for 2 to 3 months.
Where will Trump stay in DC? He can't show up late for trial like he did once for his civil trial.
Trump can try but will not succeed in controlling the narrative coming out every day from the courtroom.
Trump scripts his actions, pre-plans them for his advantage. Just like he paid people to pretend to be unionized auto workers who held up UAW signs. Trump is a phony, a con man. he is the guy who rides into town in a wagon to sell people snake oil.

Trump can't script, can't control what goes on at his trial and it won't take long for that situation to physically and mentally devastate him.

The cherry on top is a conviction,

Trump knows he has no evidence to prove he is not guilty, that is why he cannot go to trial pre-election, that is all he is fighting for, Delay.

Time Matters.

I am not afraid to say that I believe that Trump will take a beating in a fair election. What worries me is the rat-fucking that will go on, we should be ready for it though.

get him to trial in DC and Georgia. In any other world, rapist, faudster, etc., ought to be enough to beat anyone.

I think I saw federal rules require he has to be there for arraignment, the start of trial, and the verdict, but he can ask to be absent at other times.

Is it smart? Probably not, but it couldn't be used against him like it could in a civil trial.

Someone familiar with federal procedures will correct I'm sure.

of the population seeming support for a racist, bigot, sexist, and someone who tried to overthrow the United States Government.

Unless Democrats start going big time on the offensive, we will have a problem.

Cut and pasted from Politico:

"But in criminal court, he will be required to attend trial all day, every day — an enormous time commitment in the middle of the presidential race. In Trump’s federal trial in Washington, D.C., on charges related to election interference, prosecutors have estimated their case could take as long as two and a half months. In Fulton County, Georgia, where Trump faces similar election charges, prosecutors said it could take four months to present their case."

"Trump also won’t be allowed to simply walk out of the courtroom when he wants, as he did recently in the fraud case even as court was in session. About 30 minutes after his former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, finished testifying against him, Trump stood up angrily and exited the courtroom as the judge was conducting other business, sending U.S. Secret Service agents scurrying after the former president."

https://www.dccourts.gov/sites/default/files/rules-superior-court/Criminal%20Rule%2043.%20Defendants%20Presence.pdf

This is known as Rule 43:

(f) WAIVING CONTINUED PRESENCE.
(1) In General. A defendant who was initially present at trial waives the right to be present under the following circumstances:
(A) when the defendant is voluntarily absent after the trial has begun, regardless of whether the court informed the defendant of an obligation to remain during trial;
(B) when the defendant is voluntarily absent during sentencing; or
(C) when the court warns the defendant that it will remove the defendant from the courtroom for disruptive behavior, but the defendant persists in conduct that justifies removal from the courtroom.
(2) Waiver's Effect. If the defendant waives the right to be present, the trial may proceed to completion, including the verdict's return and sentencing, during the defendant's absence.

He can't control the narrative while court is in session, but you can bet your bottom dollar he'll have press conferences during breaks and after every session. You've seen that happen in previous trials.

the rules are a lot more stringent in a criminal trial. Trump will have to control himself in the courtroom or I guarantee that judge Chutkan will hold him in contempt. The judge will not allow Trump to influence the jury.

Wishing that Chief Justice Roberts would allow the trial to be televised.

Convention will be wild. The whole party will engage in an incredible shit show of lunacy and infighting when the biggest spotlight of the election cycle is on them as a brand.
