Indeed. These absolute jackals in the press showing a level of disrespect I have NEVER seen towards a President, let alone the most decent man to hold the office in fifty years was enraging.
This is the way they treat Joe and yet that walking POS , rapist, scumbag, traitor gets the kid glove treatment
WHAT PLANET AM I ON ?

(11,134 posts)I caught a good portion of it on my car radio. That outrage came across loud and clear.
And the press?
My God. They sounded like a bunch of screeching jackals.

(52,128 posts)I think my neighbors are aware of my extreme anger and hatred since they most likely have to close their windows when I hear this BS on my TV. The GOP has shortened my life by causing non-stop stress. I think that is part of their evil plan to destroy the spirit of the country.

(755 posts)On Fox News dot com it's one of the top stories already. Along with stories about how this means Biden is going on criminal trial anyway, Republican congresspeople calling on the cabinet to remove him via 25th amendment because presidents can't have bad memory anymore (but it was perfectly ok for Reagan and Bush to use to get out of Iran-Contra responsibility), and how this totally exonerates Trump for all his crimes.

(52,687 posts)Does anyone think for a minute that Trump could name the President of Egypt?
And a couple sentences later on he did say Egypt, so he clearly did mean to say Egypt.

(7,822 posts)Speaking of hearts...this presser and how the President carried himself makes me love him even more than I did. The frenzied disrespectful way the press treated Joe contrasted with his dignified, knowledgeable and measured responses will anger many Americans and help him politically.

(1,974 posts)Where was the press horde when Ronnie was in office...a man who actually was diagnosed with Alzheimers? Are you telling me he never made a verbal slip up or had a memory lapse? I want someone to dig up some of his video goofs and put them on a loop to spread far and wide! But he's considered to be a saint by the right.

(1,974 posts)There are some good quotes there by others about RR and by RR himself--wowzer!
This was my favorite talking about how the press treated him:
"His errors glide past unchallenged. At one point...he alleged that almost half the population gets a free meal from the government each day. No one told him he was crazy. The general message of the American press is that, yes, while it is perfectly true that the emperor has no clothes, nudity is actually very acceptable this year."
--Simon Hoggart, in The Observer (London), 1986
Seems pretty applicable to tfg too!
