Boy, the biggest mistake these motherfuckers made was

to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Last night in the Bucks County, PA special election, the Democrat won with 67% of the vote. Democrats do not win elections in Bucks County with 67% of the vote and they normally wouldn’t even if they guaranteed that every household would receive $5000, per annum gratis. Well….that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you can tell that I’m on a roll.

If this is not an example of the dog chasing the car and catching it, I don’t know what is. They awakened the sleeping giant of Americans who care deeply about issues if and only if it pertains to them or to their immediate families. What a giant fuck-up , and coupled with their arrant stupidity, I’m telling you that it’s going to be a bloodbath for these pricks in the fall.

We are going to get out the vote and we’re going to wipe the floor with these bastards and make them eat their words.

in their states, they have to get rid of the states rights thing to show they were lying all along, control travel between states, get rid of exceptions, go after non-viable pregnancies because why? Home testing and contraception will be next.

They could have accepted the win and claimed some moral ground instead they made sex dangerous for women across America and implemented a kind of police state.

The snowstorm kept in-person voting down. Was there vote by mail for a special election? That could skew results when the in-person party stays home due to the storm. Because you're right, 67% is not Dem-achievable there.

These evil cretins don't know where to stop. They keep proposing legislation that would allow women to die in emergency rooms. They want legislation to outlaw all abortion under all circumstances, full stop. They are talking about banning birth control. They are insane. And the American people have taken notice.

I hope they lose 100 seats in the house and 10 seats in the Senate. I hope Joe Biden wins the presidency with 400 electoral votes. These misogynist haters should never win another election.

who is paralytically stuck in a centrist/right centrist mode. His political opinions often begin with "an editorial in the Wall Street Journal..." That's about the extent of his political sophistication. He clearly gives the gop the pass many other white people give and he tends to engage in a lot of both-sidesism (I'll get to the point, but he is like so many other Americans in so many ways). Last night he was insisting as he had done before that if Haley was the gop nom, she would clean up in the election. I shook my head and told him "don't count on it. Democrats/Biden are going to run on abortion and they're gonna rub it in." I also reminded him that Nikki Haley said she would sign a national abortion ban.

And that was the end of that conversation.

House Election! It was Super Important & I bet TSF is Seething Barking like a Rabid Asshole mad.

Maddow Blog | Why the Democratic win in Pennsylvania’s special election matters

*snip*

But as Democrats celebrated their success in the Empire State, there was another race election watchers were following in a neighboring state, which mattered, too. NBC News reported overnight:

While those names won’t be familiar to national audiences, one of the reasons the results stood out is the larger legislative context: Had the GOP candidate in this race prevailed, Democrats would’ve lost their narrow majority in the Pennsylvania state House.

But just as notable was the local geography. NBC News’ report added, “The win in Bucks County — a purple slice of the northern suburbs of Philadelphia — was hailed as positive news by national Democrats, some of whom had viewed the contest as an early bellwether of the party’s fortunes among suburban voters ahead of the 2024 election.”

*snip*

What’s more, a Politico report noted that there have been six legislative special elections in Pennsylvania over the past year, and Democrats have won all of them.
