"Leadership requires killing people"

CARLSON: Because those are covered and because I have spent my life talking to people who run countries in various countries and have concluded the following. That every leader kills people, including my leader. Every leader kills people, some kill more than others. Leadership requires killing people, sorry, that’s why I wouldn’t want to be a leader. That press restriction is universal in the United States, I know because I’ve lived it. Ask my former – I’ve had a lot of jobs. And I’ve done this for 34 years and I know how it works and there’s more censorship in Russia than there is in the United States but there is a great deal in the United States. And so at a certain point, it’s like people can decide whether they think, what countries they think are better, what systems they think are better. I just want to know what he thinks, that was the whole point.

If even half of his RW audience believes what he says, that's some terrifying reality for the rest of us.

Maybe it did in the Middle Ages, or the Roman Empire that he thinks of so fondly. But, leadership in this day and age means MAKING SURE EVERYONE IS SAFE.

Navalny can give you some tips on how things work over there. Ooops! Too late.

A real journalist would have insisted on interviewing Navalny before confronting Putin with facts.

Every leader kills people? And somehow that's just a given, in his mind?

That's some of the scariest honesty I've ever heard from a RW talking head! He needs someone to mentally evaluate him, because the appearance is he's had too much RW Kool-Aid to drink. I think his alternate reality is finally eaten all the way through his brain.

There’s ordering actions that result in deaths in a war setting and then there’s murdering your political enemies which is far different.

This is simply an attempt to normalize and justify political violence. It's okay to murder your political opponents because all leaders do it. In fact, leadership requires it.

This is amoral bullshit, the sort of thing Trumpism is hoping to bring into reality here.

Tucker Carlson is a blatant traitor. He should do himself a favor and stay in Russia.
