Capital One to Buy Discover Financial in $35 Billion Stock Deal

Several news sites have this.

I like Discover pretty well
I do not like Capital one as well.
I don’t have to contact either one very often
But the last time I did
Discover had stateside call centers and Capital one outsourced
I do not like outsourcing.
Since I have both cards I wonder if they will make it be just one and lessen the service

I hope it does not actually go through
Bigger is not always better


I don’t think I will like this merger.

3. that SUCKS. i love my discover cash back awards

i charge all my bills to the card and use the cashback awards to buy Christmas presents every year. I hope Capital one doesn't take all the perks away

Cashback rewards.

I don’t use the capital one as often as I do Discover so I can’t tell you which one is better
I think the Discover one is easier to click on and say apply it to my bill or give me cash back, etc.

5. Get used to the acronym "CLD"

They're gonna need to pay for this somehow and extending credit to users goes against that need.
