I listen to NPR's "Morning Edition" every morning. Or, at least I usually do. Just like two or four years ago, I have found myself reaching over and either changing the station or turning the radio off as soon as I hear his voice.

I wrote something called The Media Overthrow Manifesto or MOM for short- calling for a massive boycott of Cable News by cancelling the tier of cable service containing the 24hr news networks.
This was carried on several platforms and some papers and I got nothing but crickets and complaints mixed with derision.
Apparently no one wanted to accept mild inconvenience in order to make a powerful political statement of disgust with how news was being covered.
Nothing has changed. Lots of complaining… no action.

I am aware that there are some number of households that have cut their cable, but I was pushing for a movement of millions to send a message to the PTB.

I only bring this up, because it is indicative of the collapse of organized protest on the left.

Except for PBS and some sports (if your into sports), and not just news. I'm talking whatever they air any time of the 24 hr cycle. The shows are made for baby zoo animals. I mean, 24 nights a week of that fucking NCIS crap, or stupid talent shows or mind numbing idiotic game shows or some kind of "regular people" in "life threatening " situations on an island or some shit. What the hell do you expect out of them, 60 minutes circa 1975? Jesus I was flipping through antennae channels and besides the "Big 3" its the "Little 10" that are either the "hit" shows from the "Big 3" from the 80's and 90's and even most of that was shit, or home shopping shit. I mean people still buy that shit? I'm not looking for "my point of view only " media either but Christ, the companies that spew out that bullshit and people expect news from them?
