So, in the interest of keeping it simple, how might you explain to a fourth grader how Fani Willis' dating history has anything to do with Trump's guilt or innocence?

That's the best I can come up with

If he was an average American, *rump would already be in prison.

(26,463 posts)The issues are basically whether or not she had a relationship with Wade, and if so, whether or not she benefited financially from that relationship. The underlying assertion is that there's a conflict of interest.
Timing matters because they testified under oath about when the relationship started.
This article from the much-derided NYT covers it pretty well.

Huh?
All of that buildup and the guy can't say when they started dating?
He isn't saying it was before the case started. He can't recall.
Horrors!!!!!

(2,239 posts)Under oath testimony of when the relationship started?! What utter garbage. How can anyone prove when a relationship between two people started? Oh, receipts! They had dinner together! Perjury! Crime! Exoneration of the oozing syphilitic sore!
This is disgusting. Sexist, racist garbage. I am beyond fed up with these fucking MAGAts.

This is why hes throwing anything and everything at the wall to see what sticks.

she will be taken off the case against Trump, her office will be closed, and Georgia will have to try to find someone else to run her office, and well all have to pray that person is interested in a RICO case against Trump at all.
Fani Willis is, by all accounts, uniquely qualified to prosecute RICO cases.
Anyway, smearing her, destroying her reputation, and wasting her time and ours is simply a way to make the case against Trump go away.
