The "REPUBLICAN CRIME SYNDICATE"

is my term for these arch-enemies of Democracy.

I believe we should begin using terms normally seen in comic books: crime syndicate and arch-enemy as above, dastardly, pathetic, depressing, revolting, slimy, alien, nauseating, repulsive, stinking, stomach-turning,… you get the drift.

Marvel and DC have changed the playing field of superheroes and villains dramatically from when I was a kid. Their verbiage cycles in the minds of the young and the usage of those words against the Revolting Republicans will conjure up images of bad guys of comics from the present back through the ages.

I personally will never forget the line from MAD Magazine’s sendup of Dick Tracy in the 1950’s:

“Mucous-face escaped while Tracy was heaving, Chief.”

This stuff stays in your brain. Forever.

Just a thought for a rainy, miserable day.

1. We should have taken this approach 30 or 40 years ago,..

.... to counter balance the layers upon layers of distain they heaped on Libs in decades gone by.

Election 2024 will be the nastiest political season we ever saw. trDUMP is desperate to get back in the White House to immediately pardon himself and his goons so they can all walk away scot-free. It is imperative that trDUMP give them all a clean slate free of any chance they answer for their blatant criminalities during his first term.

2. ABC's Jonathan Karl regrets that he was caught lying about Benghazi

http://americablog.com/2013/05/abc-jonathan-karl-benghazi-email.html

As you know, ABC’s Jonathan Karl created quite a firestorm this past week by publishing a “breaking” story about the Benghazi controversy that was an utter and complete fabrication.

Karl’s story purported to “prove” that the White House had made partisan hay with the Benghazi talking points in those first few days after the deadly attack on our consultate in Libya. In fact, Karl’s story, we now know, was a lie, fabricated by congressional Republicans who are out to get President Obama, and aided by Karl having intentionally misled ABC’s audience in his reporting on the matter.

I actually felt a little bit bad for ABC’s Jonathan Karl, and thus haven’t been joining in the vocal attacks others have lobbed at him over his fabricated story about the Benghazi emails.

All reporters mess up at some point. And Karl’s mistake was rather monumental, to be sure. Karl not only was lied to by a source, and printed the lie as fact, but he hid the hearsay nature of the lie and pretended that he was quoting White House emails that he had seen himself, when in fact he was quoting a GOP congressional source lying about what was in the White House emails about the Benghazi talking points. Quite a small fact to omit from a breaking new story.

3. I still think of them as associates of the Trump Crime Family of the Russian Mafia

If there were any real working journalists left in this country, they would be asking how much money the Russians have paid them, how it was laundered to conceal its source and evade taxes, and what quid pro quo they expect in return, beginning with the $650 million paid to Trump structured as loans through Deutsche Bank and the Bank of Cypress, and the $14 million paid to Mitch McConnell through the NRA.
