And now off for 2 week holiday. Can’t get business done but wants more money. Does he even know how it works or does he have to file suit for a raise to find out?

In DC they are treated like gods by their staff, the congressional staff, lobbyists, feds all over the city asskissing. They go home and their constituents give them shit, ask for stuff, make them walk in parades and go to school and civic functions. They would rather be in DC treated like royalty

he literally writes the budget of the united states, which establishes the pay of the house of representatives.

he can sue god herself, but even she can't raise house salaries. Separation of powers doesn't allow it.

all spending bills originate in the house. so originate one. change your own pay. make it a million dollars a year. go for it. all you need a simple majority in the house and senate, plus bidens signature.
