I assume the tsunami never materialized if it hasnt shown up by now?

But as to where it was largest I haven't seen. Seems like it wasn't catastrophic anywhere.

Japan's on Jan 1st went about 1/4 - 1/2 mile inland and footage from damage wasn't available until the next day.
The tsunami threat is over now. So, the event is in the past.
I saw videos of crazy landslides.
