Anybody else having trouble believing anything at all about the Iran missile attack on Israel?

IDF says 350 missiles and drones were sent, Us says 115-130 ballistic missiles.... half intercepted the rest just crashed along the way.

One 7 year old injured.

WTF?

No way to verify any of it.

Why spend a minute thinking about it?

Only a few weren’t stopped. 99% were shot
down.
Every interceptor is accounted for and recorded.
Israel, the U.S., The UK, France, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia all have a precise record of what was used to shoot down every drone and missile. It is all absolutely verified. There is also video of every aircraft encounter.
This is why it was reported today that the cost of repelling last night’s attack from Iran cost approximately 1.3 Billion dollars.

Hitler's invasion of Poland. Neither side trusted the other in that pact. Not allies so much as temporarily in a truce that both expected to be short lived.

Long before Hitler and Stalin, Germany and Russia had an alternating love/hate relationship with each other over power in Europe. Neither one trusted the other. Bismarck was skilled in manipulating and balancing the power. Nobody after him was.

Label: Self Immolation – WOMB FDL 3, Some Bizzare – WOMB FDL 3
Format: Vinyl, LP, Album
Country: UK
Released: Sep 1984
Genre: Electronic, Rock
Style:Industrial, Post-Punk

Foetus is a main solo project and 'one-man band' of Australian polystylistic composer, multi-instrumentalist, experimental sound artist and producer J.G. Thirlwell. Jim Thirlwell conceived the basic Foetus concept when he relocated to London in 1978. He composed everything and recorded all instruments himself, handling the entire production, even drawing illustrations and designing artworks, but for each album, he would invent a new 'band' with a word 'foetus' in a deliberately profane/offensive name. The debut single, Foetus - Spite Your Face / OKFM 7", was released in 1981 through Thirlwell's own label Self Immolation. Soon after, Thirlwell adopted a next moniker You've Got Foetus On Your Breath, and produced a debut and sophomore full-length albums Deaf and Ache in 1981-82.

In 1984, Thirlwell permanently relocated to New York City, and ever since he had been closely associated with a 'local' (and internationally renowned) avant/industrial/fringe/free improv underground NYC scene. The next two albums, Hole (1984) and Nail '85, were again arranged, performed and produced solely by J.G. Thirlwell, and released under Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel alias. The concept was again re-invented as Foetus Interruptus three years later, for the fifth album Thaw in 1988. All known Foetus aliases and name variations were presented on Foetus - Sink compilation in 1989, a collection of rare b-sides and unreleased tracks.

During the eighties, Foetus was almost exclusively a solo project for Thirlwell (occasionally credited as Clint Ruin) in the studio, but live he was supported by a group of musicians from industrial/experimental bands and projects like Swans, Prong and . They would appear as simply 'Foetus' (in the later years) or yet another Foetus side-project/deviation, such as Foetus Corruptus (captured live in 1988 somewhere in Europe on the 'official bootleg' Rife). In November 1990, an extended configuration of the band, Foetus In Excelsis Corruptus Deluxe, played a concert at the Manhattan's legendary CBGB, which is documented on Male 2xCD, the project's second official live album, released by Big Cat in 1992.

As Iran launched its much-anticipated attack on Israel on Saturday, the night sky was filled with deadly threats. More than 100 ballistic missiles were fired, senior U.S. officials said, complemented by about 30 cruise missiles and more than 150 explosive drones.

Israel’s vaunted missile defense systems ramped up to engage the munitions as they were launched from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. But they were flanked by U.S. and British fighter jets, a Patriot missile defense system manned by U.S. troops in Iraq and U.S. destroyers off the coast of Israel, each ready to assist.

But the attack still imposed new challenges on Israel, Bendett suggested. To achieve a 99 percent interception rate required defenses that are probably “much costlier than the total number of threats arrayed against Israel,” he said.

They don't want a direct war with Israel. Warmonger Netanyahu of course is planning his retaliation to the retaliation of his attack in Syria. He wants the war to continue. He also halted ceasefire talks and 2-state solution ones.

And btw, he gets to stay out of jail as the war will last longer now. Not a coincidence.

If Iran wants to be noble or restrained, they could start with dropping their financial and arms sponsorship of attacks on Israel by terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis.

Israel has repeatedly offered fair terms for a ceasefire, fair terms for a path to ending this war. And this is with the Gazan government having violated the last ceasefire they agreed to.

The only government committing genocide is the Gazan government. A genocide against their own people, throwing away their lives in a pointless war that they started. A genocide against their own people, by their willingness to sacrifice them in a war they have no hope of ever winning.

U.S. details Pentagon’s role in defending Israel from Iranian attack

Among the U.S. forces that participated were the 494th Fighter Squadron, with headquarters in Britain; and the 335th Fighter Squadron, of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina. Combined, the two squadrons used their F-15E Strike Eagles to take down about 70 attack drones heading to Israel, and received a phone call after from President Biden. The jets are designed for both air-to-air combat and deep interdiction, the Air Force says.

A senior military official, speaking on the same call, said that the USS Carney and USS Arleigh Burke, destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, shot down between four and six ballistic missiles in the attack. U.S. troops manning the Patriot missile defense system in Irbil, Iraq, took down another missile that had violated Iraqi airspace on its vector to Israel, the official said.

All told, Israeli and U.S. officials said that 99 percent of the incoming munitions were intercepted, suggesting just a few may have struck their intended targets in the Jewish state. At least one ballistic missile readied by Houthis in Yemen was destroyed on the launch pad, officials said, pointing to the coalition presence that has surveilled militant activity in the region in the last few months.

But the attack still imposed new challenges on Israel, Bendett suggested. To achieve a 99 percent interception rate required defenses that are probably “much costlier than the total number of threats arrayed against Israel,” he said.

It's not unusual for Hamas and now Hezbollah, to send up to 50 rockets a day. Israel just intercepts them. It's a daily thing for them. Saturday's attack had a one hour warning, so most made it to bomb shelters. The girl who was seriously injured did not have access to a bomb shelter. A few other people had minor injuries.

The iron dome has been in place for quite awhile. Hamas and Hezbollah routinely fire rockets at Israel. It seems to be part of the daily routine.

Here is an article from 2019 JERUSALEM — Israel and Hamas hurtled into their deadliest bout of fighting in nearly five years on Sunday as Palestinian militants launched a barrage of more than 600 rockets and Israel responded with airstrikes on more than 300 targets.https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/death-toll-rises-as-gaza-militants-fire-more-than-400-rockets-into-israel-and-israel-responds-with-airstrikes/2019/05/05/e1a981be-6eee-11e9-a66d-a82d3f3d96d5_story.html

From 2021
Gaza militants have fired over 2,300 rockets at Israel since Monday in response to a bloody Israeli police action at the flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque compound in annexed east Jerusalem.

The rockets, most of which targeted southern Israel, killed 10 people, including a child and a soldier, with more than 560 people wounded.
https://www.barrons.com/news/israeli-man-killed-by-rocket-from-gaza-medics-police-01621079412

From May 2023
Islamic Jihad has fired more than 600 rockets into Israel.
https://jweekly.com/2023/05/12/israel-gaza-conflict-israel-suffers-first-fatality-as-rocket-attacks-continue-palestinian-death-toll-hits-30/
