A Bill O'Reilly Fan Recants on GLOBAL WARMING: Dramatic Video

Moviegoer: I did not believe in global warming. I am going to be sixty on December twenty-one, and every time someone mentioned global warming to me, I told them, if they wanted to remain in my home, they needed to step out. Because I said it was bullshit. I didn't believe it. Excuse my language.

And that is because, I listened -- this is the truth -- I believed Bill O'Reilly.

Offscreen: And now you saw this movie...

Moviegoer: And I saw this movie, and I apologize to anyone I ever talked into not -- into believing there was no global warming. I have talked every friend, every person I know, into believing there was no global warming.

And now I have to undo my damage. And I will. From the moment I go to my car, go to home, go to my computer -- it has changed my life

Now that the Mississippi river is about to be closed, and the Great Lakes are shrinking, and Hurricane Sandy has pounded the East Coast, and the Dust Bowl II Drought of 2012 is deepening across the Heartland, O'Reilly and the other overpaid chickenhawk Republican Propagandists will step up their CAMPAIGN OF SKEWY SPIN SPEW & GENERAL DISINFORMATION. It is, alas, the Republican WAY.

After she confessed her sin, the story goes, the priest gave her a penance. She had to get a feather pillow, climb to the high top of the church steeple, and shake the feathers out on a windy day. Then she was to report back to the confessional. She did. And when she did, the priest told her that her Real Penance was now to start: she should go out on the street and gather up every one of the feathers.

"But father," she protested, " that's impossible." The priest agreed with her, and then brought down THE HAMMER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. He said the same impossibility was true of the lies she spread. She could never ever go out and gather them all in and undo them.

In lieu of a clue, I offer this PARABLE to all the Republicans who have been lied to, or who have lied about, climate change.

I can't get over this culture shock. I cannot understand how people can be so closed-minded and unwilling to even consider or respect that there can be opposing views. I don't understand how Fox News and the shock jocks on the right can get away with being so obviously unfair and unbalanced. How can millions hang onto the every word of such obnoxious individuals as O'Reilly and Limbaugh. How did this happen to America?

Maybe if I hadn't married into a Republican family, I wouldn't be so saddened by it all. It feels like another universe that doesn't have the same rules of logic and reasoning. If Obama had lost the election, I really think I would have lost my mind. This woman gives hope that the day will come when the lie machine and the mind games on the right will collapse so we can face the stark reality that is facing us as a united nation.

Bill O'Reilly has a talent. He's not an expert. He gets paid to sell a point of view. Why people accept things coming out of his mouth as truth when he's not an expert on anything is beyond me. He reads what's put in front of him, that's all. He could be replaced by a computer generated head.
