Prosecutors Reveal Alleged Hush Money Deal to Trump Crony

In a turn that is oh-so-meta, a brand new hush money deal is now at the center of attention in Donald Trump’s ongoing hush money trial: $750,000 that prosecutors say the business mogul is dangling above Allen Weisselberg’s head to keep him testifying against his former boss.
...
In court on Friday, prosecutors revealed that the Trump Organization has promised to pay Weisselberg three installments of $250,000 due later this year in June, September, and December. However, only if he doesn’t “cooperate” with law enforcement.

One part of the contract, read out loud in court, says Weisselberg promises “not to verbally or in writing disparage, criticize, denigrate” the company or any of its executives. Another section says “he will not communicate with” and “otherwise will not cooperate with” any entity seeking “adverse claims” against the company.

And while the law generally punishes people for “aiding or abetting” a criminal, Weisselberg’s contract by contrast punishes him if he decides to “aid, abet, or cause” any action against the Trump real estate empire.

It goes on to say neither set of lawyers are particularly keen on putting Weisselberg on the stand, because they just don't know how he'll react. But the new hush money has surely made it more likely he'd lie for Trump. Judge Merchan has apparently not yet decided whether to subpoena him.

4. I'll go one farther. NDA's should be illegal or, at least, non-enforceable.

In their essence they are simply omnipresent, often vague, "hush money" agreements.

It would be more equitable to just prosecute intellectual property theft and patent infringements. You know, punish criminals who make fortunes off the non or poorly compensated efforts of others. Kind of a basic justice concept.

But what kind of society would go around policing anti-progressive monopolism, economic slavery or corporate piracy? That'd be outrageous, right?

Yes Trump was on a huge crime spree the minute he entered the WH.
He had always been a white collar criminal who got away with everything.

When he was in the WH it was like a kid in a candy shop.

3. Shouldn't this agreement be told to the jury?

If this "deal" can be entered by the prosecution as evidence, they won't need his testimony.

I think we could find out just how many gag orders, or NDA’s, as he calls them, have been issued by the Trump organization

11. If they call Weisselberg and he refuses to testify

wouldn't that be damning in the eyes of the jury?

Makes Trump look even more guilty than he already does?

Another nail in Donnie's coffin. Truly expose him for the criminal that he is.

Add to his impending sentence when this trial gets settled by the jury. Then perhaps the American people will finally see this man for the EVIL CROOK has has ALWAYS been.

Let TSF cry all he wants that this is Biden's fault. Because it is NOT!

Criminal Enterprise, much like a drug cartel, and should be 'dis-incorporated'.
If there is no longer a Trump Org., than Weisselberg will see that his nda is worthless. No pot of gold at the end of his rainbow!
