Donald Trump insisted in a social media post Tuesday that he has never, and will never advocate imposing restrictions on birth control or other contraceptives, after an interview released hours earlier included Trump saying hes looking at restrictions on contraception.
The post came after Trump said in an interview with a local TV station in Pittsburgh that he plans to share a policy on contraception very shortly, without providing details.
Were looking at that, and Im going to have a policy on that very shortly and I think its something that youll find interesting, Trump told KDKA political analyst Jon Delano when asked if he supported any restrictions on a persons right to contraception.
KDKA declined to tell POLITICO when the interview was recorded, but the Biden campaign released video of the exchange on Tuesday.

His word is entirely worthless, so it doesn't matter what policies he claims to support.
If he gets into power, he'll do whatever his most powerful backers want,
and to hell with the rest of us!

At least on this subject? I do believe that he wants to punish women who have had or even considered having abortions, because we all know how much he hates women.

For National audiences Trump will hedge and say he feels some access to contraception should be allowed though possibly with restrictions and that he will have the best people study the subject.
Trump doesn't personally give a fuck. Trump just needs donor money and votes. The wealthiest will always have safe options.

(1,843 posts)...with his radtrad Catholic followers, the same constituency that he's been sucking up to for the last few years. They're already pissed off about Trump's course reversal on banning IVF after the disastrous court ruling in Alabama. For the radtrads (and increasingly, the far-right evangelicals), it's all culture war, all of the time.
