I prefer to focus on the Democratic Party's strengths, rather than worry about the ebb and tide of popular opinion.

...or at least motivating enough voters who want to save this country from dictatorship so that we're saved from the idiots and the assholes who live among us who either can't see how hugely better Biden is compared to Trump, or worse, see Trump pretty much as he is, and are all in favor of that.

He didn't want to do it. Finally, an unknown staffer was able to convince him to give it up because the post wasn't a good look for the aspiring dictator.

Yesterday, there was a blast from the past about Trump bragging after Angela Merkel compared Agent Orange to Hitler.

'Only one other political leader drew bigger crowds.'

The Hitler comparison was implied but Trump understood the reference (or someone clued him in); he was proud enough to repeat the statement.

Because being 'Hitleresque' for these modern strongmen/dictators is a compliment, not a curse.
