Should the DOJ Investigate Thomas and Alito for bribery?

Based on the reporting from ProPublica on these two members of the court, it seems there is probably cause to at least open an Investigation. It is hard to say if there has been one opened, but the question I am asking is, should Garland open them?

An elected official trying to bring down the US government is treason.
Bribery is bad, but not treason bad.

The SC corruption and treason is one of the worst disgraces in US history.
They don't even bother to hide it.

Haul their robe-clad assess before the Congress to answer for their behavior. Thomas could spew more BS about an electronic lynching. Alito would probably blow a fuse just to have his august majesty questioned. Sic Moskowitz and Jasmine Crockett on them. We may not be able to get rid of them but we can open them to public scorn.

have a problem when Comey interfered in the election but now seems to constantly have their tail between their legs.

I don't want a political justice department. I just want them to follow the law and stop this constant stalling and excuses for their inaction. JUST FOLLOW THE LAW - that is your job.

I could give a shit about the so-called optics - FOLLOW THE LAW.

the constitution, oh wait just like those judges they already did.

I am sure there are good people on both sides of this issue, but the DOJ needs to take these breaches much more seriously.

As a country we take R's at their words too many times to count and they lie like thieves

It would be a waste of time.

Now if Sotomayor, Kagan or Brown hung their flags upside down or ate lunch at a restaurant owned by Soros, they would be marched through the town barefoot with house members spitting on them.

Certainly with Thomas, there's evidence he received financial benefits from certain individuals. But is there evidence that he did anything in return? Did he alter his behavior in any way? His decisions have been for shit from the start, so its hard to show a quid pro quo.

And as for Alito, same questions.

The fact that Thomas received multiple financial “gifts” from Crow and did not report it nor did he recuse himself from adjudication of issues that Crow had invested in… is not probable cause?

the gop is never going to go along with impeachment and removal, so the story ends before it began.

we're stuck with all of these people until they die or resign to allow the next rethug president to appoint someone even crazier.

Since we only have laws for democratic people. We will stand here and wait for them to make us sick, make us poor and or homeless, and wait for them to kill us all. The white men are fine with that mostly because it doesn't affect them. They're going to find out with the rest of us what happens when you fuck around.

Garland and Wray should not be allowed to investigate anything to do with the Federalist Society. The Federalist Society selected Thomas and Alito for confirmation.

To be fair, in the spirit of not being partisan, Garland should appoint a pro-Biden special counsel to do the investigation, just like he did with Weiss and Hur.

I'm not sure that what was clearly influence-buying reaches the legal definition of bribery. Perhaps the better option is for the grass roots to work very hard to elect a majority in both the House and Senate, and then follow the constitutional option of impeachment and conviction. That would be difficult, no doubt, even with a majority in the Senate. But it is much more realistic than hoping the DOJ might go after them.
