(3,223 posts)I wish I could find the words to tell my pastors and fellow congregants why I think supporting Samaritan's Purse is a bad idea. I personally will not donate my money or time to it. I have begged off time and again...but cannot seem to find the right words to say.
Graham is a white religious nationalist who can't handle his own words being thrown back in his face. He and his ilk can dish it out but they sure can't take it!!!

(2,332 posts)christians have a long, ugly history of being white nationalists. Hitler didn't kill those Jews by himself, you know. He had the help of thousands of German christians and millions of german christians who knew what was going on and did bloody bugger all to stop it or even protest it.
Also the Jim Crow south, and the Confederacy, which were both white christian nationalism on steroids.

(3,607 posts)Zoroastrians? Of course I wasn't being serious.
Everyone knows that the problem is white christian nationalism. Trying to distance oneself from the fact that it is christians by conspicuously avoiding the label is both disingenuous and pathetic.

Why the double standard?
Believe in the separation of church and state?
See any hypocrisy? Remember it's best to ask questions.

(7,248 posts)For instance, Paul had no tolerance for hypocrites an assigned them special anti-Jesus status. Pastors who allow such blatant error space in their mission are doomed. But that's to be expected for those schooled in the acceptance of black slavery for generations.

(13 posts)Have you considered religious deconstruction? Many atheists consider it to be the most liberating and honest stance they will ever take. And think of all the stuff you could do if you weren't going to church, getting ready for church or trying to avoid church people. Your new group of friends , I promise you, will be far more interesting as well.

(4,758 posts)If TFG reached into his pocket and paid Stormy Daniels paid using his own money there is no crime. Adultery? Other than rank hypocrisy, most people couldnt care less (although we on the left would steer clear of the slime).
The crime is using other peoples money (donors, businesses), then hiding that theft via the shenanigans played with his former fixer (and maybe his former CFO).
Hmmm. Have to think about this. Is a minute up? Done thinking. Right wingers are just stupid. Up and down, from sunrise to sunset, stupid. And, of course, fascist level evil.
Example: Franklin Graham, a disgrace to Christianity and to his fathers name.

See how long it takes them to zap you.
It should get them on their toes a little bit.
They like repetition, we know that.
And it can make them do the silliest things.
