The conversation that Warner had was probably with a president running with all batteries fully charged, and in full possession of all faculties, much to his surprise. Biden probably told him to listen to Chuck Schumer more and Fox Noise less. Warner has been in the Senate long enough to have known Joe Biden as VP for eight years. Maybe a little reminder was what he needed.

Senator since winning his seat in 2008, popular governor of Virginia before that. There was never going to be a serious primary challenge one way or the other. There is no "squad" focusing on the Virginia Senate seats we hold.

His prior statement was certainly misguided, but claiming that he's not a "faithful or loyal" Democrat is laughable.

Democrats and others on the left insisting that perfection is the sole standard is why we can't have nice things and is often a factor in why we lose elections. 2016, for example.

IMO, long gone are the days that the $3 checkoff box on taxes had any impact on a Presidential race.

As donors have vacillated, so too may have those seeking election.

An economic professor told me many many years ago, most people vote their wallets.

Tim Kaine is up for re-election this year. Just for the record.

No, I am not pleased with Sen. Warner for this stupid mess and I let his office know that as soon as I heard this BS. We will have time to argue this with him for 2 more years, but this year we must GOTV for Sen. Kaine.

House members tend to go off the rails occasionally. It's to be expected. The lower chamber is a "rats nest of hicks and hacks" much of the time. But a Senator? They're usually far more prudent. That's how they got to be Senators. And the whole point of the upper house.

There is tumult at hand. It's best it's talked out.

I'll tell you how to "best prevent Trump's lawlessness from returning to the White House". Tell Warner and his Goddamned minions not to attack the Democratic nominee (presumptive) during the race. The race that is unarguably the most important race in the past 90 years.
SHUT YOUR DAMNED MOUTH, WARNER! How in the hell do you think the fascists have grown in power so quickly? No public dissent, that's how!
As my President said, if you have a problem with him, declare your candidacy, get the support of the voters, and challenge him at the convention. Otherwise, shut your pie hole!

Your earlier statements fail into the category of ‘ screwing the pooch”. Completely unhelpful. And now you want a ‘broader coalition of voices’? Even your recent statement falls short of what’s needed. And it’s certainly no apology. If you get primaried by a viable candidate I’m taking a hard look.
