24 hours is enough time for a good snit. Perhaps it's time to choose an attitude.

Change is constant; impermanence is absolute. They can’t be stopped. So, the Captain is changing, but here where the grunt work is done, the challenge is the same, to win, the fire carriers at the top reshuffled, but their goal is still to win. There’s a new wrinkle in the script, but from what I’m reading, momentum is continuing build for us. We keep on with purpose.

1. It takes time to work through the grieving process.

Probably more than 24 hours.

But I believe most people can do it more quickly than normal because
our democracy and American lives are at stake.

It is legitimate psychological theory about how people deal with loss.

It is certainly not considered petulance.

I am taken aback that anyone would call the legitimate grieving process
an insulting name.

and are being told that 24 hours is plenty of time to Get Over It and to Move On. Lots of folks here are indeed giving short shrift to people's sadness and anger.

5. We just need to unite behind Kamala before the convention.

I'm excited. I saw an article that said Dems were moving from the old to the new, that statement could not be further from the truth.

Joe Biden was only old in age, his ideas and accomplishments were new and inspiring. Kamala Harris will be a continuation of Joe.

6. I only needed about 30 minutes or less to accomplish this change of attitude.

I think it was actually 10 or 15 minutes after receiving a text from my neighbor that Joe had decided not to run, and endorsed Harris. I actually feel more optimistic and I'm all in for Harris.

It is my fervent hope and belief that the party will unify around Harris, and that strength of unity will be manifested during the convention and carry us through victory.

7. Joe picked her for his VP. Why don't we trust his judgment on this decision?

I don't believe there was any arm twisting to get him to step down. I trust Joe. If anything, he is looking also for his place in history as well as for the good of the country and for his own health and well being. His accomplishments are still his. that will not change.

I am a Democrat. I support our candidate, who is now Kamala Harris.

9. For me this is forever.

while I will support and vote for Kamala(I lived her in 2015) my trust is shattered. Knowing that despite the vote, the money people and those that “know better” can mount a campaign to pressure a different outcome is too much.

Sorry but thats the consequence of doing this.
