Reuters indicates VP selection is near

From Jarrett Renshaw, White House reporter for Reuters:

SCOOP: Harris and her yet-to-be named VP will hit the road next week on a battleground state tour, sources tell me and
@nanditab1, signaling that the decision process is nearing a close.

This makes sense, due to trying to meet the August 7th deadline in Ohio.

Presumably, that is
I guess I’m just too relaxed. I’m sure that her pick will be just fine. We’re just about ready now, and it’ll be a real nice surprise.

That would certainly coincide with an imminent announcement as it happened with Vance as well.

Are Dems trying to appeal to people who aren't going to vote with us anyway.

The republicans sure as hell didn't pick their most liberal VP choice trying to appeal to Democrats.

Republicans have all the billionaires and huge corporations and their PACs, the supreme court and half the lower courts, the mainstream media, several of the main social media websites, and now they can have a conservative democrat on the Democratic ticket.

We liberals don't have a chance in this country. How are we ever going to right the ship that the "conservatives" have practically sunk, if we use our power trying to appeal to people who don't get it?

Having said that: I was wrong about trying to keep Biden on the ticket, so this might be as strong of a move as Harris was! So I'm not hitting on much this election. I guess I should keep my apparently too liberal ideas to myself.

I think the large group of strong potential VPs having what likely will have been almost 2 weeks of having their supporting speeches covered by the media because it could be them, was very useful.

From Walz contributing among other things the designation of "weird", to Pete countering Republican lies, even on Fox, better than anyone thought possible, to Andy Beshar offering a far better face for greater Appalachia than Vance to Whitmer, Shapiro, and Cooper strongly supporting Harris while they negatively define Trump has contributed to an unbelievable start for Harris. From all parts of the party, they are unified and focused.

All of them have made the support that they will still be out there if they are not choosen.
