Poll on CNN. Which GOP candidate do you want to win the presidential nomination?

http://www.cnn.com/

Paul
32%
37587

Romney
32%
37319

Gingrich
22%
25452

Santorum
13%
15560

What this unscientific poll is saying that 67 percent don't want Romney and even more don't want Newt at 77 percent.

And they seemed to be all but anointing Newt the nominee. As unpopular as Romney is, polls (and the voting so far) indicate Newt is even less popular with Republicans.

IMO, Newt is by far the worst of that whole lot. Even among other jackasses, he stands out as the biggest one.

BTW, no surprise Paul is on top. There are probably Paulistas whose sole job is to spam internet polls.

Is the part that loves the horse race and the mudslinging. I think it would be better for the country if we got on with the general and started drawing clear contrasts between two candidates.

I figure anything that divides their party is a plus for us. Maybe Crazy Uncle Ron will run third party.

While it is true he represents the rich, he also is the least INSANE and will appeal the most to the Independents, of which I was one for over 30 years. He is probably the most "moderate" of the group.

Gingrich has a long history and baggage. He would be better for us.

Santorum probably would be even better. NUTCASE on social issues, and LOST Pa. re-election.

Paul? Could he be a Third Party and darkhorse like a Perot? Who would he take votes from as that? Dems or Repubs? I know if my Repub husband doesn't like his Party's candidate, he will vote 3rd Party like he did with Perot.
