It Just Got Easier for Trump to Block Election Results in Georgia The New Republic The state election board voted to make it easier to delay or refuse to certify election results.

In a 3–2 vote on Tuesday, members voted in favor of a new rule requiring a “reasonable inquiry” before certifying election results. The board did not elaborate, however, on what exactly that inquiry would look like, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

That could spell chaos come November, especially considering that at least 70 election officials across 16 counties in key swing states, including Georgia, have been identified as pro–Donald Trump election denialists.

Trump praised the MAGA members of Georgia’s board days before the vote, describing Janice Johnston, Rick Jeffares, and Janelle King as “pit bulls fighting for victory.”

“I don’t know if you’ve heard, but the Georgia State Election Board is in a very positive way,” Trump said at his rally in Atlanta on Saturday. “They’re on fire, they’re doing a great job.”

And other states have similar laws. The freakout about some of these issues is bordering a tad on fearmongering.

All related appeals to SCOTUS were either rejected or denied.

This isn't going to be as easy as many insist. The laws in various states are quite clear on many of these issues, and unless those laws change by November, similar attempts will likely meet a similar fate.

Not going to lie, I am super fucking worried and paranoid, have been for ages.

6. It's not being "paranoid" Celerity. It's being informed, alert, and proactive, rather

than sitting back thinking/expecting/relying upon things to right themselves on their own accord.

It seems to me (if not to others) that if the MAGA Republican party is working so damned hard to cull the vote and rewrite laws that further enable them to DO so,

then it SHOULD be equally important to anyone, even remotely interested in PROTECTING THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE, to due diligence in DOING so.
