These rural towns that hold Trump rallies can also be considered "ethnic enclaves". They've had waves of immigrants of various nationalities over the last 350 years! He should check out "The Molly MaGuires", but there were also waves of German immigrants, Poles, Italians, Slavic, and many more. Many did the jobs no one else would do, such as mine and steel workers.
