Yesterday my House office was tagged with blood-splattered signs accusing me of supporting terrorism after I questioned the pager operation, which clearly runs counter to US policy.
They must live under a rock to not know I dont take well to bullies.

(41,385 posts)of organizing terrorist attacks on innocent civilians and exclusively given to TERRORISTS for the exclusive purpose of planning the murder of Jews are devices not "likely to be attractive to civilians."
Taking out the communication systems of one's enemy is not a violation of international law. The destroying of Hezbollah's pagers and walkie talkies was justified self-defense. Many Jewish lives have been saved. And Jewish people have always known that some people may not think those count.

(54,881 posts)I think it far more likely that it will cost many more Jewish lives in the future. What that op did was kill Hezbollah and associated and nearby individuals, which makes you feel better. That is not the same as saving Israeli or Jewish lives.
I constantly hear about how this or that killing saves Israeli lives, only to see more Israelis die.
One thing is certain, the operation in Gaza has bred many thousands of terrorists, supplanting a lesser number that existed previously. People cannot see their families slaughtered without harboring resentment.

(54,881 posts)That's why it says "Per US Department of Defense." US law applies IF the US were involved in the op.
